Well, that's it. It's the end of the year, and as far as my New Year's resolution goes, I did pretty well. Out of 356 days in the year, I posted an answer to the Writer's Block Question 334 times. I find it amusing that I missed more days the closer that I got to the end of the year. But I kept going. Even when I missed days, and once an entire week I think, I didn't give up.
Yay me! And now, I will post to this journal when I feel like it, and not because I have to.
Happy New Year's!

Happy New Year's!

I spend time with family. I watch the ball drop and my family drinks sparkling cider and we pull crackers and eat a lot of food that is very very bad for our collective health.
I resolved to answer the Writer's Block question every day in 2009. While I didn't do it completely, I consider it a success because it is the first resolution I have made where even if I didn't get it right away I kept going instead of giving up. I plan to make a lot of resolutions for 2010. While I find it constructive to have a day to make resolutions, I think it is important to make goals outside of New Year's.
Usually, I spend it with my family watching the ball drop in Times Square. As far as parties go, I don't know whether I prefer big parties or small celebrations as I have never been to a big New Year's Eve party. I'd like to. And New Year's is always a time for reflection, although, I usually spend far more time reflecting on what I did wrong over the year, all those messed up resolutions which usually leads to a bout of depression. That is something that I need to change.
I prefer to stay indoors and watch the weather through the window. I don't get depressed because of the weather.
A let down, mostly. Relieved that I don't have to worry anymore about presents and all that, but I love Christmastime and I always feel sad when it is over.
Giddy. I end up on a holiday high. I love holidays in general, but Christmas is by far my favorite, what with the music, the snow, the giving (and receiving) of presents, peace on Earth, all that jazz.
Merry Christmas!
Not really. My life is made up of tiny decisions that together make a difference in my life.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy, hands down.
Seriously, sponsored questions I understand but this is ridiculous. I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in going to see this movie.
Tough question. Honestly, I don't think it would take much. Probably just the opportunity.
Nope, I have never done that. I might though if the situation calls for it. Dishonesty in the work place, or unworkable situations are what I would walk away from.
I'm actually not going anywhere this holiday season. Most of my family lives within a 5 mile radius of each other.
For me, the most challenging part of the holidays is dealing with all the Scrooges in the world. I love Christmas; snow, trees, presents, decorations, the music, everything. And it is really difficult to try and keep a cheerful outlook when I am dealing with someone who hates Christmas. I acknowledge that sometimes I get a little carried away, like in singing Christmas music all year round, but really, the idea of peace on Earth and goodwill toward men is something that we should strive for all year, not just between Thanksgiving and New Year's.

I would love to hang out with Westley from "The Princess Bride".

No question whatsoever, everyone needs to see "The Princess Bride" at least once. It is a fantastic romantic comedy.

It is much easier to keep in touch with family members that live on either coast. Easier to share pictures and stories about new family members. Although it certainly takes away from the immediate family, everyone focusing on the internet instead of spending time together.
Certainly search engines have become much easier to use, more intuitive.
Tough question. I think I would have to go with sight. I don't think I could stand it if I couldn't read or see a sunset. There is so much to see in this world, and I have seen so little of it.

I love books, reading and writing. I'm not terribly talented at the writing part but I love to do it.
